Meet the team

One clinic, one method. Whoever you see, you get the same approach — find the cause, treat it, and explain it every step of the way.

Bow Chung, Registered Osteopath at London Osteopath, Waterloo SE1
Bow Chung
Founder & Registered Osteopath

Bow’s route into osteopathy started on the gym floor. She spent four years as a personal trainer in Mayfair and Canary Wharf, and what she loved most was the coaching — watching someone finally understand something about their own body. When she found osteopathy, she recognised the same thing at a deeper level: as she puts it, the treatment is the vehicle, the coaching is the point.

Her own injury shaped the rest. After rupturing both her MCL and PCL — having built much of her identity around being active and competing in jiu-jitsu — she had to rebuild from the bottom up. That process taught her more about what the body is capable of than anything she’d studied, and it’s why she believes the body can do far more than most people are told.

She talks a lot in sessions, and that’s deliberate — understanding why your lower back keeps overloading puts you in a completely different position to just being worked on and sent home. Her work is whole-body and assessment-led: she treats people standing, moving and loading, looks for the root cause others have missed, and reinvests constantly in her own knowledge.

Shaun Mercier, Massage Therapist at London Osteopath, Waterloo SE1
Shaun Mercier
Massage Therapist

Shaun specialises in chronic and persistent pain, musculoskeletal conditions, and the postural and occupational strain that builds up quietly over years of desk work. He trained at the London School of Osteopathy and has just completed his final exams — he’s now awaiting registration as a fully qualified osteopath — so his hands-on work is underpinned by a deep, evidence-based understanding of how pain develops and persists.

He explains what’s happening in your body as he works, focuses on practical strategies you can use between sessions, and sets realistic goals about getting you back to the things that matter to you. His interest in the science of pain runs deep — he’s exploring further academic research, with a view to a PhD in osteopathy.

Emma Conroy, Sports Massage Therapist at London Osteopath, Waterloo SE1
Emma Conroy
Sports Massage Therapist

Emma came to sports massage via three years as a paramedic with the London Ambulance Service — so her understanding of anatomy, injury assessment, and how bodies respond under stress runs considerably deeper than most. She’s particularly good with injury recovery and performance, and is currently training as an osteopath.

She brings the same forensic attention to your body’s needs that you’d want from someone who spent years making quick, accurate calls under pressure.

  • Level 3 Sports Massage qualification
  • Certified in kinesiology taping & cupping therapy
  • Currently training as an osteopath
  • Former London Ambulance Service paramedic (3 years)
  • Special interest in injury recovery & performance

Our team is growing — two associate osteopaths are joining the clinic in 2026, trained in the same assessment-led, whole-body approach.
